ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Hi, I’m Daniela.

Neve Spanish Academy grew from two parts of my life that kept meeting each other: my professional work, and my journey raising my own children bilingually.

I’m a native Spanish speaker from Chile with a degree in Speech and Language Pathology and Audiology. Over the years, my work has included language and communication, early childhood education, curriculum and instructional design, educational content development, translation and interpreting, training and project management, and professional voice-over work.

My own language story has shaped this, too.

I learned English as an adult after moving to the United States. I know what it is like to build a second language without having that foundation from childhood, the effort it takes to understand, communicate naturally, and eventually feel at home in another language. That experience made me appreciate even more what early, meaningful exposure can give a child.

After my first daughter was born, I began looking for more structure for raising her bilingually. I wanted something that would help her develop Spanish and English through meaningful, developmentally appropriate experiences while also supporting the many other areas of development growing alongside language. I found vocabulary lists, worksheet bundles, apps, and disconnected activities, often with very simplified content.

I couldn’t find what I was looking for.

So I began creating it.

I developed the Neve Method™, a 7-pillar framework that I used to create Discovering my World in Spanish™. In this program, families receive practical ways to bring meaningful Spanish into childhood through everyday routines, play, exploration, and new experiences that invite children to discover the world around them.

I am convinced that young children are capable of so much more than memorizing colors, shapes, numbers, and isolated words. The early years are an especially important time for language, communication, learning, and development. Children are already building connections, solving problems, moving, imagining, expressing needs and emotions, and making sense of their world.

Why not let Spanish grow alongside all of that?

That became the heart of my program: giving children rich, intentional, and consistent exposure to Spanish—not as another "subject" to learn, but as a language through which they discover their world. Through meaningful, parent-guided experiences, children have opportunities to communicate, explore, create, think, move, and connect in Spanish, while developing in so many other areas and sharing valuable time with the people who matter most.

I created the program I had been looking for in my own family. The more I built it, the more I knew I wanted to share it with other families too.

REAL FAMILY LIFE

Part of Childhood, Not Another Thing to Manage

We combine thoughtful educational planning with Communication Experiences that fit and enrich your family life.

Parents can explore the knowledge behind each lesson in depth or simply print and go.

The goal is to make Spanish part of childhood, woven into everyday routines, play, discovery, new adventures, and meaningful time together.

WHAT GUIDES THE WORK

The Principles I Keep Coming Back To

FAITH MATTERS TO ME

Optional Christian Companion Included at No Additional Cost

Faith is an important part of my own life, and I wanted to make space for families who want to bring that part of their lives into Spanish learning too.

That is why I am creating Exploring God in Spanish™ as an optional Christian companion to the program. When a companion is available for a corresponding unit, it is included at no additional cost and can be used or skipped completely. The core Discovering My World in Spanish™ curriculum stands on its own.

It can include simple ways to connect Spanish with Scripture, gratitude, prayer, character, and service, while helping children practice caring for others through meaningful family and community outreach.

It is completely optional, and I want to keep it free.

HOW I WANT TO HELP

You Shouldn’t Have to Build the Program Yourself.

I want you to open a lesson and know what to prepare, what to say, what to notice, and what to do next.

I want native-speaker audio to take the guesswork out of pronunciation.

I want reusable tools and familiar routines that make the program easier to use over time, not more complicated.

And when you run out of ideas of what to do with your child, I want you to have meaningful, ready-to-use experiences you can enjoy with them. No need to plan everything from scratch.

I also want you to have options. Some weeks you may do several experiences. Other weeks, you may choose one and revisit the language during ordinary family life.

You don't need perfect Spanish or a perfect week. You need a connected path you can return to consistently.

That is what I want Neve Spanish Academy to provide for you and your family.
