Privacy Policy

Our approach

Neve Spanish Academy's website and paid member area are for adults who guide children through screen-free learning. We use Wix to operate the site, accounts, and Online Programs. We do not create child profiles or track an individual child's learning. This policy explains the adult information we collect, the limited child-related information an adult might choose to send us, and your privacy choices.

1. About This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Neve Academy LLC, doing business as Neve Spanish Academy ("Neve Spanish Academy," "we," "us," or "our"), handles personal information when an adult visits nevespanishacademy.com, requests a free resource, joins a waitlist, subscribes to emails, completes a survey, creates a Wix site-member account, purchases or accesses a unit or other product, uses Explorer Headquarters, or contacts us (collectively, the "Services").

For purposes of privacy laws that use the terms "controller" or "business," Neve Academy LLC generally determines the purposes and means of processing personal information collected through the Services. Service providers may process information on our behalf.

"Personal information" means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or can reasonably be linked with a person or household, as defined by applicable law. This Policy does not apply to websites, platforms, or services that we do not control, even when we link to them. Where applicable law requires consent for a particular activity, we will request that consent separately.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

Adult contact and account information. Name, email address, site-member identifier, login or authentication information handled by Wix, address or billing location when needed for checkout or tax, and account preferences.

Purchase and transaction information. Units or bundles purchased, order and enrollment dates, prices, taxes charged, payment and refund status, access entitlements, and related records. Complete card numbers are handled by Wix and/or the connected payment provider, not intentionally kept in Neve Academy LLC's own records.

Email and waitlist information. Email address, requested free resources, signup source, consent and subscription choices, and delivery or engagement information for messages we send.

Survey and form responses. Information you voluntarily provide about your family, bilingual-learning goals, language use, interests, curriculum needs, preferences, and feedback.

Communications and submissions. Messages, support questions, testimonials, feedback, or other content you choose to send us.

Limited information about children provided by adults

Our parent-facing curriculum does not require or provide a child account, child profile, or individual child progress record. A parent or guardian might voluntarily mention a child's first name or nickname, age range, language exposure, or general interests in a survey or support message. Please share only information that is relevant to the request and that you are authorized to provide. We do not require this information to purchase or use a unit.

Please do not submit medical or diagnostic information, government identification numbers, precise location, account passwords, or other sensitive information about a child. Do not submit a child's photograph, video, voice recording, or identifiable work sample unless we specifically request it for a stated purpose and provide a separate parent-authorized permission or release process.

If a printable activity invites you to personalize a puppet or another resource with a family photograph or child's name, you can do that offline on your own device or printed copy. Do not upload the image or an identifiable work sample to our website or a general support form unless we separately invite and explain the upload and obtain the appropriate adult permission.

Information collected automatically

When you use the Services, Wix and other service providers we enable may automatically process the following kinds of information, depending on the feature and your privacy settings:

IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, language, and approximate location derived from IP address.

Pages viewed, links clicked, referring pages, visit dates and times, adult site-member sign-in and program enrollment, adult step or section activity in Wix Online Programs, downloads and content or audio access events when recorded, and purchase or signup events. Wix's adult program indicators are for navigation and administration; we do not use them to measure an individual child's learning.

Cookie identifiers, local-storage identifiers, advertising identifiers when advertising technology is enabled, and similar online identifiers.

Information used to authenticate users, maintain security, prevent fraud, diagnose errors, and operate the Services.

Information from third parties

We may receive information from Wix, the connected payment provider, email or form services, analytics tools, and other providers that help us operate the site, authenticate adults, deliver purchases and messages, measure site performance, or prevent fraud. If you interact with us through Instagram, Facebook, Google, or another external platform, that platform may share information with us according to its settings and privacy notice.

3. How We Use Personal Information

Provide and secure the website, adult site-member accounts, Explorer Headquarters, purchased units, downloadable printables, online audio, and other Services.

Process purchases, confirm eligibility for a unit or an included optional companion, manage adult program enrollment and scheduled lesson access, send receipts and service notices, and provide support.

Deliver a free resource you request and, separately, send waitlist updates, newsletters, or product announcements when authorized by your choices and applicable law.

Conduct surveys and product-development work, understand what families need, and improve our educational materials and website experience.

Measure the effectiveness and performance of our website and, when enabled and legally permitted, advertising campaigns directed to adults.

Protect accounts and systems, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our agreements, comply with law, and establish or defend legal claims.

Create aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify an individual.

We do not use child-related information voluntarily provided by a parent to build advertising profiles of children, and we do not intentionally disclose child-related information to advertising platforms for targeted advertising.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

Where laws such as the European Union or United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation apply, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

Contract. Processing necessary to provide a product or service you requested, manage your account, or fulfill a purchase.

Consent. For example, when you join a marketing email list, accept nonessential cookies where required, or authorize a particular use of submitted content.

Legitimate interests. Operating and improving our business, communicating with customers, securing the Services, understanding adult audiences, preventing misuse, and marketing our products in a proportionate way that respects your rights.

Legal obligations and protection of rights. Complying with tax, accounting, consumer-protection, court, and other legal requirements and protecting people, property, and legal rights.

5. Wix Platform Processing

Neve Spanish Academy uses Wix to host the website and operate site-member accounts, Online Programs, checkout, forms, and other features that we choose to enable. Wix may process visitor, member, program, transaction, device, and usage information to provide those features and maintain security. The exact information depends on the site configuration and the features an adult uses.

Under Wix's Data Processing Addendum, Neve Academy LLC generally acts as controller or business for visitor and customer information that Wix processes on our behalf, and Wix acts as processor or service provider for that processing. Wix may use its affiliates and listed subprocessors. Wix may also process some information for its own purposes under its own privacy notice. We remain responsible for deciding which site features and third-party integrations to use and for responding to requests concerning information we control.

Wix's agreements with Neve Academy LLC and its privacy materials describe Wix's role. They do not replace this Policy. Wix and its providers may process information in more than one country, as described in Section 14.

6. Cookies, Local Storage, Analytics, and Advertising

Essential technologies

Our Services may use cookies, local storage, session identifiers, or similar technologies that are necessary for account access, authentication, security, checkout, fraud prevention, remembering preferences, and basic website operation. Blocking essential technologies may prevent some features from working.

Analytics and performance

We and our service providers may use analytics or performance tools to understand adult visitor activity and improve the site. We use Wix's Privacy Center or another appropriate consent mechanism to provide choices where required before nonessential analytics or marketing technologies load. An external app or custom code may require separate review because a Wix cookie banner may not control every third-party script.

Meta Pixel and similar advertising tools

We may use Meta Pixel or similar advertising and measurement tools if they are enabled on the website. These tools can help us understand actions taken by adult visitors after seeing or clicking an advertisement and may record events such as page views, signups, or purchases, depending on configuration. Information may include an IP address, browser or device information, page URL, referring page, cookie or advertising identifiers, and event information.

We do not intentionally send survey answers, free-form support text, medical or diagnostic information, child-related details, or identifiable family media to advertising pixels. We will configure advertising events and any nonessential scripts to follow applicable consent and opt-out requirements. Browser controls, site cookie choices when available, and the settings of the advertising provider may offer additional ways to limit tracking.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

Some browsers send privacy preference signals, including Global Privacy Control. We will honor a legally valid opt-out preference signal where applicable law requires it for the browser or device to which it applies. You may also contact us for a broader request. Older "Do Not Track" signals do not have a uniform legal or technical standard, so the site may not respond to them.

7. How We Disclose Personal Information

Wix, its affiliates, and subprocessors. Website hosting, site-member authentication, Online Programs, checkout, forms, storage, security, analytics features we enable, and related infrastructure.

The payment provider shown at checkout, such as Wix Payments, Stripe, PayPal, or another connected provider. Payment authorization, fraud prevention, transaction, and refund services. We generally receive payment status and order details rather than a complete card number.

Google and similar productivity/form providers, when used. Forms, surveys, email, file storage, analytics, or related business services according to the specific feature used.

Meta and advertising providers, when enabled. Advertising delivery, adult-audience measurement, conversion reporting, and campaign optimization, subject to consent and opt-out requirements where applicable.

Professional advisers and contractors. Technology, accounting, legal, customer-support, content, or business operations, subject to appropriate confidentiality or data-protection obligations.

Legal and safety recipients. Courts, regulators, law enforcement, or other parties when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.

Business-transfer recipients. A potential or actual buyer, successor, or other party involved in a merger, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to applicable safeguards.

We may also disclose information at your direction or with your permission.

8. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

We do not sell personal information for money. However, privacy laws in some U.S. states may define the use of advertising pixels or disclosure of online identifiers to advertising partners as "sharing," a "sale," or processing for targeted advertising even when no money changes hands. If we use Meta Pixel or similar advertising technologies, that activity may fall within those definitions.

Where applicable law gives you an opt-out right, you may use available cookie controls, a recognized browser preference signal where supported and legally required, a site-level opt-out link if displayed, or the contact method in Section 15. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information about children under 16 and do not use child-related details volunteered by adults for targeted advertising.

9. Email Communications

If you request a free guide, we use your email to deliver it and related service information. Ongoing promotional emails, waitlist updates, and newsletters are sent according to the choice presented on the form and applicable law; a product purchase or free-resource request does not by itself override a marketing opt-out. Transactional messages may include receipts, adult-account notices, lesson-access information, security notices, service changes, or support replies.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in the message when available or by contacting us. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop necessary transactional or service-related messages. We may retain a minimal suppression record so we can honor your opt-out.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including providing the Services, maintaining transaction and tax records, honoring licenses and product access, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, preventing fraud, and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods vary by data type and provider.

Account and purchase records may be kept while an account or customer relationship remains active and afterward as reasonably necessary for legal, accounting, security, support, licensing, or dispute purposes. Access and download records may be retained when reasonably necessary to administer digital-product licenses and refund requests. Survey responses are kept while useful for the stated research or product-development purpose and may then be deleted or de-identified. Child-related information voluntarily provided by a parent is kept only as long as reasonably necessary for the specific purpose for which it was submitted.

When we ask a service provider to delete data, backup copies may persist for a limited period under that provider's backup and security procedures before being overwritten or deleted.

11. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and our operations, and we rely on Wix and other providers to secure the systems they operate. No internet service or storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential, using a strong and unique password, and signing out of shared devices. Please do not send sensitive personal information through ordinary email or general-purpose forms.

12. Children's Privacy

Our educational content is designed for children approximately ages 1-6 to use with adult guidance, but the website, checkout, site-member accounts, surveys, forms, and email lists are intended for adults. Children must not create accounts, purchase, subscribe, or submit information directly. We do not create individual child profiles or track child progress in the online hub.

We do not knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under 13 or permit them to use the account-based Services independently. Our customer-account system is intended for users age 18 or older. Parents or legal guardians may provide limited information about their own children as described in Section 2, but should not submit sensitive information or identifiable media unless specifically invited through a separate parent-authorized process.

We do not knowingly use child-related information for targeted advertising, and we do not intentionally transmit child-related information to Meta Pixel or similar advertising tools. If we learn that a child submitted personal information directly without appropriate parental involvement, or that information was collected contrary to this Policy, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian may request access to or deletion of child-related information by using the contact method in Section 15.

13. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live and whether a particular law applies to our business, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to or a copy of personal information we hold about you.

  • Request correction or deletion of personal information.

  • Request a portable copy of information you provided.

  • Withdraw consent when processing is based on consent.

  • Object to or request restriction of certain processing.

  • Opt out of targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of personal information, as those terms are defined by applicable law.

  • Limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, where applicable.

  • Appeal a decision regarding a privacy request and lodge a complaint with an appropriate regulator.

  • Exercise applicable privacy rights without unlawful discrimination.

To exercise a privacy right, email NeveSpanishAcademy@gmail.com with the subject "Privacy Request," or use the Contact page at www.nevespanishacademy.com. Describe the request and provide the email address associated with your account, purchase, or submission. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity, authority, and request. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization.

Some rights are subject to exceptions. For example, we may retain information needed to complete a transaction, maintain a license record, comply with law, prevent fraud, protect security, or establish legal claims. Even when a particular privacy law does not apply to our business, we will make reasonable efforts to address legitimate privacy concerns.

14. International Data Transfers and Third-Party Policies

Neve Academy LLC is based in the United States. Wix states that personal data of site visitors and users may first be processed by Wix.com Ltd. in Israel and transferred to Wix entities and subprocessors in other countries for storage and service delivery. Other providers, including the connected payment or email provider, may process information in additional locations. Privacy protections can differ across jurisdictions.

Where required, we and our providers rely on applicable lawful transfer mechanisms and safeguards, including contractual terms. Residents of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, or other jurisdictions may have additional rights described in Section 13 and may be able to complain to a local data-protection authority.
