Discovering My World in Spanish - Stage 1 -Unit 1

Unit 1: Me | Yo Your child’s Spanish journey begins with the world they know best: themselves. In Unit 1 of Discovering My World in Spanish™, children explore their identity, body, senses, needs, emotions, clothing, health, preferences, abilities, daily routines, and safety while building Spanish they can understand and use meaningfully. Across 12 lessons, Spanish is woven into stories, conversation, movement, play, hands-on discovery, creativity, audio experiences, family missions, and everyday life. Language returns in different contexts so children can gradually move from listening and understanding to using words, phrases, sentences, and more connected language. Children take on the role of Explorer, completing missions, using their Explorer Passport, and unlocking new resources as they move through the unit. Designed for children approximately ages 1–6, the experience can grow with your child. Families can revisit concepts at increasingly advanced levels as language and thinking develop. Parents receive clear guidance, Spanish support, audio, printable resources, and practical ways to continue the learning beyond the lesson. By the end of Unit 1, Spanish is becoming more than vocabulary to remember. It becomes a way for your child to communicate about who they are, what they need, what they feel, what they can do, and the world immediately around them.
